Alpine Campus overlooks Steamboat Springs and the ski area on Mt. Werner. Ute Indian legend says that if you come here you will lose your heart to the Yampa River Valley, and will never be able to stay away. This is especially true during the summer, when visitors discover this beautiful valley with its green pastures of Old West ranchland.
Bristol Hall is the primary campus building. It includes classrooms, a gymnasium, conference rooms, computer lab and library. The dining hall, bookstore and lounge area are located next door in Willett Hall.
Conveniently located close to downtown, Alpine Campus puts you in the middle of the Colorado resort experience. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Steamboat Springs offers unlimited opportunities for recreation. The National Forest starts at the edge of town and includes the Mt. Zirkel and Flat Tops Wilderness Areas. Running through the center of town, the Yampa River gives you whitewater boating, tubing, and fishing. A bike path runs along the riverside, starting three blocks from campus. On campus youll find athletic fields and a disc golf course. Steamboat Springs is host to cultural events such as: Rainbow Weekend, Strings in the Mountains concert series, and Art in the Park. The ProRodeo Series brings cowboys to compete from across the country.
